Is it safe to swim in Lake Xenopus?
Yes, the waters of Lake Xenopus have received acceptable scores on water quality tests administered every 5 years, in accordance with all applicable laws and ordinances. Although the remnants of the old ghost town that the lake was constructed upon still wash up from time to time, there’s no cause for concern. Since 1999, we are happy to confirm there have been no drownings in it’s pleasant waters. In fact, the local Native American tribes that used to live on these lands considered the waters of this specific site to have transcendant healing properties and would bury their dead here, beliving the waters would grant them life eternal. Yes, Lake Xenopus is a beautiful natural wonder and is visited annually by hundreds of ecologists, biologists, journalists, historians, forensics experts, paranormal experts, and of course campers.
